Pattern Insight CTO and Co-Founder Named IEEE Fellow
San Diego, CA – December 5, 2014 – Pattern Insight™ announced today that President, CTO and Co-Founder, Professor Yuanyuan (YY) Zhou was named IEEE Fellow, cited for her “contributions to scalable algorithms and tools for computer reliability.” YY Zhou is one of only a handful of current University of California, San Diego CSE faculty who have achieved fellowship status in both IEEE and ACM (Association for Computing Machinery). She became an ACM Fellow in 2013.
The IEEE is the world’s leading professional association for advancing technology for humanity. IEEE Fellow is a distinction reserved for select IEEE members whose extraordinary accomplishments are deemed fitting of this prestigious grade elevation. Less than one-tenth of one percent of voting members are selected annually following a rigorous, annual evaluation procedure. These individuals have contributed importantly to the advancement or application of engineering, science and technology, bringing the realization of significant value to society.
