Pattern Insight Announces the general availability of Code Insight 1.5

Code Insight 1.5 includes many features to make it easier to fit into an enterprise workflow.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, California — June 11, 2009 — Pattern Insight, a leading provider of system data analysis solutions, announced today the general availability of the 1.5 release of Code Insight. Code Insight is a suite of applications that enable enterprise customers to maintain the quality of their large code bases while at the same time reducing costs. Code Insight includes Patch Miner, an application that gives engineering teams the ability to perform defect propagation effectively by automatically validating the deployment of bug fixes across different branches and pointing out locations where a fix has not been applied. It also includes CP Miner, a complete solution for managing replication in codebases, along with the industry's most powerful code search.

"The latest release is not just an incremental improvement or minor cosmetic changes. We have focused on making it easier for a company to take Code Insight right out of the box and plug it into their environment. Now, in a matter of minutes you can install Code Insight, integrate with your source code management system, index your data and start using Patch Miner," remarked VP of Engineering Spiros Xanthos.

Spiros continued, "in addition to the SCM integration we also made some significant improvements in the scalability and the distributed architecture. Several of our customers have code bases that are in the hundreds of millions or even billions of lines of code, a scale that none of the traditional applications can achieve. Now, customers can add another standard Linux box to their environment and improve performance while hiding the change from users. We are really proud of the performance and availability that we can now achieve."

In addition to the improvements in performance and SCM integration, release 1.5 also includes a robust set of APIs to enable enterprises to integrate Code Insight with their other applications.

"One of the first concerns that we always run into is, how is Code Insight going to fit into our environment? This release answers those questions. By making it easier to access code inside of an SCM system a company can get up and running quickly. Publishing a set of APIs now enables companies to build their own applications on top of our platform. Many of our customers are already using the APIs and are excited about the results," said John Lovitt, CEO of Pattern Insight.
